My friend and I went to Il Vicino for dinner because we were craving some outstanding wood fired pizza - we were NOT disappointed!
We ordered two pies to share - one custom pie with mushrooms and sausage, and the Molta Carne, which is one of the signature pies. It comes with pepperoni, sausage, capocollo ham, marinara sauce, mozzarella, kalamata olives, mushrooms, fresh oregano.
Both pies were excellent! The dough is a bit thicker than classic Neapolitan style, but it's still light, crisp, and very tasty. The sauce is zesty with a slight note of sweetness to it, and just enough kick to give it character. The toppings were all obviously premium quality, and very generously applied to the pies.
Tip: My favorite of the two pies we shared was the Molta Carne, but I'm confident that it's simply not possible to pick a bad pie from among their list of signature pizzas :-)
A single pie is big enough for two people with light appetites to share, or enough to satisfy one fairly hungry person. I look forward to returning to try some more of their outstanding pizzas! -

Zero flavor and so bland. What a disappointment. Why brag about a 700 degree oven if you're just going to overcook the pizza? Whole point of a neapolitan pizza is to be spongy and airy.
I got the prosciutto topped pizza with arugula and I had to douse it with salt just to get any semblance of flavor. I know we're in the southwest but come on. At least try to make a good pizza. -

This pizzeria is right off of San Francisco and walking distance from the Eldorado. It has a nice ambiance with indoor, patio and outdoor seating. We chose the patio which is enclosed but a perfect setting. It is also kid friendly.
You order at the counter before you sit down. You pay first but they bring your meal to the table.
The food was very authentic. We had the Campangola pizza. It's a thin crust pizza with marinara sauce, goat cheese, mushrooms, onions and sausage. It was the right amount of good and texture. Perfect flavored crust. Cooked to perfection and not a soggy pizza. They also leave a bottle of olio picante. A nice olive texture with the right amount of heat.
We also had the soup of the day which was a vegetarian minestrone soup. A perfect broth with the right amount of pasta. I had the chicken and rice soup. It's heavy so that could've been an entree.
They serve wine and you order that at the counter.
The service was attentive and never missed a beat.
Make this pizzeria your go to date night spot! -

Decent quality pizza and nice panini too. A nice entry in between a "pizza joint" and a full-service sit-down fancy pizza restaurant.

I was very hungry one late night and saw this place was open and close to my hotel.
Solid for non-NY/NJ pizza but
